1. Introduction and acceptance

CardFlow is a digital voucher platform operated by Samtech BV (“we”, “us”, “our”). It lets you buy store-specific credits (“Store Credits”) and spend them in-store by showing a QR code that a cashier scans at the till.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply every time you use the CardFlow app or any related tool (together, the “Platform”). By creating an account you confirm you have read and agreed to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the Platform.

These Terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. Where the two documents conflict on personal data, the Privacy Policy takes precedence.

We may update these Terms from time to time in accordance with Section 14. The version in force when you use the Platform is the version that applies to you.

2. Definitions

The following words have the meanings below throughout this document:

Term Meaning
CardFlow The digital voucher platform, including the mobile app and any associated cashier tools.
Store Credits Store-specific digital voucher balances held in your account that you can spend on goods or services at a particular store. Store Credits are not cash, cannot be transferred, and cannot be paid out.
Store A participating shop or business that accepts Store Credits through the CardFlow platform.
Cashier A member of staff at a Store who is authorised to scan your QR code and process the payment.
Top-Up The action of buying Store Credits for a specific Store by making a payment through the Platform.
QR Code A time-limited, single-use code generated by the CardFlow app that represents an amount of Store Credits to be redeemed at the till.
Account Your registered user account on the CardFlow Platform.
User A person who has registered an Account on the Platform.

3. Eligibility

3.1 Minimum age

CardFlow is for people aged 18 and over only. By creating an Account you confirm you are at least 18. If we discover an Account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it immediately and any Store Credits will be forfeited.

3.2 Individuals only

Only individuals (natural persons) may hold an Account. You may not register on behalf of a company or other legal entity without our express written permission.

3.3 One account per person

Each person may hold only one Account. Creating duplicate Accounts is a breach of these Terms and may result in all such Accounts being suspended or closed.

4. Account registration and security

4.1 Accurate information

You must give accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep it up to date. Providing false or misleading information is a breach of these Terms.

4.2 Keep your credentials safe

You are responsible for keeping your login details (including one-time passwords and verification codes) confidential. Do not share them with anyone. Any action taken on your Account using your credentials is treated as authorised by you, unless you have reported unauthorised access in accordance with Section 4.3.

4.3 Report a security problem

If you think your Account has been accessed without your permission, contact us straight away at privacy.cardflow@samtech.dev. We will investigate and, where appropriate, suspend your Account while we resolve the issue.

4.4 Identity verification

We may ask you to verify your identity at any point — for example at registration or when topping up — for fraud prevention or legal compliance purposes.

5. What CardFlow is (and is not)

5.1 What CardFlow is

CardFlow lets you buy Store Credits for a specific store and redeem them in-store using a QR code. It is a closed-loop digital voucher service: credits can only be spent at the store they were purchased for.

5.2 What CardFlow is not

CardFlow is not a bank, e-wallet, or payment institution. We do not hold or manage money on your behalf. Store Credits are prepaid digital vouchers, not funds in a regulated account.

5.3 What this means in practice

Because Store Credits are store-specific prepaid vouchers:

If you have questions about these limitations, please contact us before completing a Top-Up.

6. Store Credits

6.1 Store-specific

Store Credits bought for one store cannot be used at any other store. Each store’s balance is shown separately in the app.

6.2 Non-transferable

Store Credits cannot be transferred to another person, gifted, sold, or assigned to any third party. The Platform does not support transfers between Accounts.

6.3 No cash value

Store Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or any other payment instrument.

6.4 Balance visibility

Your current Store Credit balance for each store is shown in the app at all times.

6.5 Expiry

Store Credits do not expire by default. However, a store may set an expiry period for their credits. Where an expiry applies, the relevant date will be shown in the app. We recommend checking your balance and any expiry dates regularly.

7. Top-Up payments

7.1 How payments work

Top-Up payments are processed by Mollie B.V., a licensed payment institution authorised in the European Union. We do not store or have access to your card details or bank credentials — that information goes directly to Mollie. By completing a Top-Up you also agree to Mollie’s applicable terms.

7.2 No refunds — IMPORTANT

ALL TOP-UP PAYMENTS ARE FINAL. ONCE YOU CONFIRM A TOP-UP, NO REFUND WILL BE ISSUED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING ACCIDENTAL TOP-UPS, UNUSED CREDITS, OR ACCOUNT CLOSURE.

Before you confirm a Top-Up, you will see the exact amount you are paying and be asked to acknowledge that the payment is non-refundable. Proceeding with the payment means you accept this policy.

This no-refund policy is disclosed here and at the point of purchase in accordance with the Belgian Code of Economic Law (WER/CEL), which allows the right of withdrawal to be waived for prepaid digital services where the service has been performed with the consumer’s express consent.

7.3 Failed payments

If a payment fails (for example, due to insufficient funds or a card decline), no Store Credits will be added and you will not be charged. If you believe you were charged for a failed Top-Up, please contact us at privacy.cardflow@samtech.dev with your transaction reference. You may also contact Mollie directly for payment disputes.

8. Spending Store Credits in-store

8.1 How it works

To pay with Store Credits, open the CardFlow app, choose the amount you want to spend, and show the generated QR code to the cashier. Once the cashier scans and confirms it, the amount is deducted from your balance.

8.2 QR codes are time-limited and single-use

Each QR code expires shortly after it is generated and can only be scanned once. Do not generate a QR code until you are ready to pay at the till.

8.3 Keep your QR code secure

Only show your QR code to the cashier serving you. Once scanned and confirmed, the deduction from your balance is final. If your QR code is scanned by someone else because you left your screen visible or shared it with a third party, we are not able to reverse the transaction.

9. Loyalty points

9.1 Store loyalty schemes

Some stores offer a loyalty points programme through CardFlow. The way points are earned and what they are worth is decided by each store individually. Details will be shown in the app where a loyalty scheme is available.

9.2 No guaranteed cash value

Loyalty points have no guaranteed monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred between users or stores.

9.3 Schemes may change

A store may change or end their loyalty programme at any time. We will show you any relevant changes in the app, but we are not responsible for decisions made by individual stores about their own loyalty scheme.

10. Prohibited uses

You must not use the Platform:

Breaching any of the above may result in immediate Account suspension or closure, forfeiture of Store Credits, and referral to law enforcement where required by law.

11. Account suspension and termination

11.1 When we may close your Account

We may suspend or permanently close your Account, with or without notice, if:

11.2 Closing your own Account

You may request the deletion of your Account at any time, either through the in-app account settings or by emailing privacy.cardflow@samtech.dev.

Deletion requests are subject to a 30-day grace period. Your Account is not deleted immediately upon submission of the request. During this period, your regular access to the Platform features will be suspended.

To allow you to spend any outstanding Store Credits during the grace period, the app will issue you a static, personal redemption code. This code can be presented in-store as a QR code payment in lieu of normal app access. This code is strictly personal and must not be shared with or transferred to any other person; sharing it exposes your remaining balance to unauthorised use, for which CardFlow accepts no liability.

If your deletion request was submitted in error, you must contact us immediately at privacy.cardflow@samtech.dev to cancel it. Cancellation requests must be received before the 30-day grace period expires; after that point the deletion is irreversible.

IMPORTANT: If you delete your Account, any unused Store Credits will be permanently lost. We cannot refund or compensate you for credits remaining at the time of deletion. Please spend your remaining credits before requesting deletion.

11.3 What happens when an Account closes

When your Account is closed (whether by you or by us):

11.4 Survival

Sections that by their nature should continue after your Account closes (including Sections 7.2, 10, 11.3, 12, 13, and 15) remain in force.

12. Limitation of liability

12.1 Service provided “as is”

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12.2 Cap on our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian law, our total liability to you in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform is limited to the total value of Store Credits held in your Account at the time the claim arises.

12.3 No liability for indirect loss

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive losses, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.

12.4 Events outside our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, strikes, failures of third-party services, or cyberattacks.

12.5 Your consumer rights

Nothing in this Section affects any statutory rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Belgian or EU consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by contract.

13. Intellectual property

13.1 Ownership

The CardFlow name, logo, app, and all related content are owned by or licensed to Samtech BV and are protected by intellectual property law.

13.2 Your licence to use the app

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the CardFlow app on a device you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use only. No other rights are granted.

13.3 Restrictions

You must not copy, modify, sell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Platform, except where permitted by law that cannot be excluded by contract.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will:

For significant changes (those that materially affect your rights or the nature of the service), we will give you at least 30 days’ notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after the notice period means you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not accept the updated Terms, please stop using the Platform and contact us to delete your Account before they take effect. Unused Store Credits will be forfeited in accordance with Section 11.2.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

15.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium.

15.2 Jurisdiction

Any dispute arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium, except as set out in Section 15.3.

15.3 EU consumers

If you live in an EU country other than Belgium, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence that cannot be overridden by agreement, regardless of Sections 15.1 and 15.2.
